I don’t like cheese.

Well I used to. In fact I loved it. Then I found out how bad it was for you. I’ll spare you the details but suffice it to say that once I learned more about what it is and how it’s made, it changed my beliefs (cheese is good to cheese is definitely not good!) which ultimately changed my behavior.

Entrepreneurship is like that. The more you learn, the more it changes your beliefs and your behavior. And it can be a scary intimidating journey where you learn some things about yourself that you might not have wanted to know! But to reach your goals, you must be willing to change some of your thought patterns, face challenges, and embrace new opportunities for growth. In this article, we’ll explore how your beliefs can help you achieve success and fulfill your calling.

Priority number one is that you have to believe that you’re capable of success. As a coach who’s been where your clients want to go, you have a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience that you can leverage to help others achieve their goals. You have to recognize that your skills are valuable and needed in the marketplace.

But having the skills and experience is not enough. You also need the confidence to share your message and expertise with others. Many coaches struggle with self-doubt and imposter syndrome, feeling like they’re not qualified to help others. But ask yourself, do I feel called to help and serve others? If so, you’re already equipped to do the work and it’s only your faith that’s lacking. Believe that you have been called to this work for a reason, and your skills and experiences have prepared you for it.

To overcome self-doubt, you have to be willing to take risks, even if it means facing the possibility of failure. Taking action, repeatedly is how you grow in your purpose and your calling. Even if something doesn’t work out according to your plan, understand that failure is not a reflection of your worth as a person or your ability as a coach. It’s simply a part of the learning process. By taking risks and trying new things, you discover what works best for you and your clients.

Another critical belief you must have is that you are worthy of success because of your identity and value as a person. You must recognize that your worth as a coach and as a person is not determined by your level of success or achievement. You’re valuable simply because of who you are and Who’s you are. A lot of times we struggle to believe that we are good enough and just as deserving as someone else who has achieved the financial success we desire. The reality is that no one is better than you, they either know something you don’t know, believe something you don’t currently believe, or are doing something you’re not currently doing. All of that can be changed.

Recognizing your worth isn’t always easy and as a female coach, you may face additional challenges in overcoming societal messages that tell you that you need to fit into a certain mold to be successful. To overcome these messages, you have to control your thoughts and affirm your own worth and identity as a child of God. You must also find mentors and support systems that can help you stay grounded in your values and beliefs.

You’re responsible for your own success, but you don’t have to do it alone. As a coach, you know that clients achieve greater success when they have the support and accountability of a coach. The same is true for you! You need the support of other coaches, mentors, and like-minded individuals who can offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability.

To find the support you need, you have to be willing to connect with others and build relationships. You can join a coaching program, attend conferences and events, or seek out a mentor who can help guide you on your journey. By building a supportive community, you can overcome challenges, grow as a coach, and achieve greater success.

To be a successful coach, it’s important to believe in yourself and your abilities and to recognize your worth and value as a person. Being willing to take risks and get support is a necessary part of the process. Your entrepreneurial journey will teach you something different about yourself, help you overcome self-doubt, embrace new opportunities, and ultimately help you fulfill your calling.
